Giving Tree

The Giving Tree Program is run by a committee and provides gifts for the needy in our parish along with some local organizations at Christmas time. The core committee meets from August through December as needed. Volunteers are needed for registration and the wrapping of gifts three to four weeks prior to Christmas.

Giving Tree

The Giving Tree project members are working to continue our annual Christmas tradition! We are RETURNING to the practice of purchasing gift items!
We begin by asking for 2 volunteers to staff an information table in the Gathering Area after weekend Masses, November 4th & 5th and November 11th & 12th. The information table will include the Family Application Forms (also for individuals) which are to be returned no later than November 12th. The family form is available for download here: Family Form

There will also be signup sheets for volunteers needed for the weekends of November 18th & 19th, November 25th & 26th and December 2nd & 3rd. For the above weekends, the books will be ready to choose the items you are interested in purchasing as gifts!

Volunteers will also be needed to help wrap presents on Tuesday, December 5th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community (Cry) Room in the church.

All presents must be wrapped with the tag attached to the gift and returned to the church by 11:00 a.m. on December 10th. December 10th will be distribution day in Carrabine Hall from 1-2 p.m.

Completed Family (individual )Application Forms may be dropped in the collection basket, given to a volunteer at the tables or given to the rectory. Cash donations may be made using the online donation form below or via check, cash or gift cards (if donating gift cards we prefer small denominations please~this will allow us to divide them up where needed) by placing it in the Giving Tree box on the table at Mass. You may also send donations to the rectory Attn: Giving Tree.

When you participate, you will be offered a paper ornament to decorate our tree. We are all so grateful to be able to continue this tradition which was begun by Jackie Cannarella and her family so many years ago. We appreciate the charitable community at St. Jude Parish!
